Somph

The FantasyWarriorMen http://fantasywarriormen.deviantart.com/ group have featured my image of Mediaeval Knight "Sir" Steve Mallett. This is an image I took at the Pensthorpe Medieval Spectacular in August 2014. After the first jousting bout, he and his horse were lining up for the second joust when I took the picture. Steve was nominated for an ice-bucket challenge in aid of charity, and there is an image of him being "iced" while still in his jousting armour sans helm in my gallery.

It's that time of the year again in the Northern Hemisphere. It gets darker, earlier, and the sun also rises later... and then there's "Bonfire Night". Just some images that I took of the local fireworks show here in Norwich. Enjoy.

I've just returned from a 4-day trip to London (the one in England for the furriners). Relatives from South Africa were visiting, so we did the touristy thang for them. This was at the end of the Olympic Games, but while the Paralympics were still on, so a lot of the sights were restricted - for instance, Trafalgar Square and parts of the Greenwich site were out of bounds for non ticket holders. Never the less, my brother-in-law and I came back with about 1,000 images between us for him to take home with him.
